At Egerton education is about every child experiencing the joy of discovery, solving problems, being confident and creative in communication, writing, the arts and technology, developing their self-esteem as learners and maturing socially and emotionally. A natural consequence of their journey is for the children to inspire and support their younger peers. This school provides a broad, balanced and rich curriculum. It recognises that the children are global citizens and as such will work hard to deliver a strong global dimension to the curriculum to encourage respect for all. Our partnership with our sister school in Kenya serves as a strong characteristic of our school and provides for real learning experiences which will value diversity and strengthen the children's identity with Egerton. We teach Spanish from Year 1 to Year 6 and our link with San Fernando Primary School helps to enrich the children's learning. Our school is an Expert Centre for the National Global Learning Programme. We are responsible for training over 20 schools in effective practice in global learning. A real love of learning will be nurtured building on the strengths of every child, whilst introducing new skills to prepare them for an ever changing world. The children will be actively encouraged to take part in their learning and apply their skills in a range of contexts to develop a life-long love of learning and take responsibility for it.
