Gardening, Garden Maintenance, Volunteering, Charity, Knutsford Knutsford GROW (Garden Regeneration Over Ward) is a charitable organisation involved in gardening and volunteering in the Knutsford area. About Us Knutsford Grow has two main aims: The first is to provide a voluntary gardening service to people living in the area of Knutsford who, by reason of their age, infirmity or disability, are unable to tend their gardens and cannot pay for professional services. The second aim is to provide opportunities for volunteers to deliver a community service in a supportive environment with access to training. Knutsford GROW began in 1998 and became a charity in 2002. GROW's volunteer gardeners look after the gardens of 39 older and disabled people in Knutsford. GROW's volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and the supportive relationship between our volunteers and those we garden for (our beneficiaries) is at the heart of the GROW ethos. Over the years, Knutsford GROW has formed links with amongst others, BTCV, the National Trust and Total People. From 2009 to 2013, final year students from Petty Pool College joined the volunteer group. 'GROW' now has links with the David Lewis Centre and The Seashell Trust. Many of GROW's beneficiaries are tenants of either Great Places or Peaks & Plains Housing Trusts. Knutsford GROW has been involved with many community events including community bulb planting and local North West in Bloom projects.
