If you have a serious medical problem outside normal hours (8.00am – 6.30pm weekdays) please telephone either the normal surgery number (632681), or dial 01625 502999. The call will transfer automatically to the out of hours service. This service is run by the Central and East Cheshire Primary Care Trust who have responsibility for all out of hours work. Your call will initially be dealt with by a highly trained nurse. You may be given advice or asked to attend an out of hours centre. The nurse may call an ambulance if she feels hospital treatment is needed. Home visits will only be possible if the patient is genuinely housebound and a visit is medically necessary. If a patient is seriously ill and clearly needs hospital treatment please dial 999.
The Walk-in Centre at the Wythenshawe Forum on Simonsway is open seven days a week between 8.00am and 6.00pm, the last patients being accepted half an hour before closing time. Telephone 0161 435 3694.
We have a ramp leading in to the side entrance of the building. Please ring the bell at the top for a receptionist to open the door. All downstairs consulting rooms are easily accessible by wheelchair and we have toilet facilities suitable for disabled patients.
