Canute Kids Duathlon this Sunday at Egerton Youth Club!

The Canute Kids Duathlon is a flat, beginner friendly, participation event, set in the heart of Cheshire. Based at Egerton Youth Club there are all the facilities you need for your child to participate and the family to stay comfortable and refreshed!

With an eye to the future, the Canute Duathlon team are delighted to be adding a Kids’ Duathlon and a Fun Run event for younger children that will allow primary aged kids a chance to take their first steps in multi-sport and compete on a specially designed course set entirely within the safe confines of the Egerton Youth Club.

If your child is of primary school age i.e. between 5-11 years old and would enjoy the opportunity to experience what will be an exciting introduction to the world of run-bike-run then look no further!

All races will take place in the grounds of the Egerton Youth Club, using aspects of the Canute duathlon course for adults. The event will be carefully marshalled and signposted, ensuring that the safety of the participants is prioritised.

So why not get your children involved in this fantastic new adventure? Entry forms are available from the Knutsford Heritage Centre, Bikes ‘n’ Gear or alternatively, you can contact us by emailing canuteduathlon@gmail.com and we will send you an entry form.

The Canute Kids’ Duathlon will taken place on Sunday 16th July 2017, with the first races starting at 09:00.

Event 1 – Year 4,5,& 6 – 800m run, 2km bike, 400m run

Event 2 – Year 2 & 3 – 600m run, 1km bike, 400m run

Event 3 – Reception & Year 1 – 1km fun run

Please note, distances are approximate. All participants must have their own bike. Helmets must be worn and fastened at all times during transition and when riding the bike.

All finishers will receive a medal, and will be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic bicycle courtesy of our sponsors, Bikes ‘n’ Gear of Knutsford.
