Our farm shop is still open and trading from 9am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday, In order for us to still trade we have implemented changes in the store to ensure safety of both our customers and staff, this will include a one in one out policy, hand washing on entry and markers on the floor for social distancing.
Our click and collect service will still be in place, where phone and email orders can be taken and brought out to your car to minimise contact.
Our delivery service will continue but it is ONLY for those who are vulnerable and self-isolating, orders for this will be taken Monday and Tuesday for delivery by Friday. Order by calling 01565 631027 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Mitchell family established Moseley Hall Farm on more than 400 acres of pristine Cheshire pasture lands. For more than 65 years, the family have worked this land with a single goal; to bring you the freshest produce and meats with no complications. Our philosophy of ‘fresh, local, and simple’ has guided The Lambing Shed and Moseley Hall Farm for more than six decades.
Our passion at The Lambing Shed is quality. We believe the best way to ensure quality is by utilising home grown and locally-sourced meats and produce. Although we do import some products for our store, most of what is found here at The Lambing Shed is produced right here in Cheshire.
We are proud of the fact that our family has farmed here at Moseley Hall Farm for so long. We are also thrilled to be able to share our passion for quality with our customers in The Lambing Shed. This is more than just a Mitchell family endeavour; it is a much larger effort that includes our family of customers, some of whom we have known for decades. The Lambing Shed and Moseley Hall Farm property consist of:
Michael and his son Robert Mitchell operate the farm, generating fresh produce including both lamb and beef. We currently maintain a flock of 2,500 sheep and a herd of 250 beef cattle.
Our on-site shop carries our own produce as well as additional supplies, including dairy, and bakery products from more than 40 local suppliers. For example, Burt’s cheese and Cheshire honey come from local farms just a few miles up the road. Cheshire Farm Ice Cream is a customer favourite; it also comes directly from a local operation not far from The Lambing Shed.
The Lambing Shed butchery is where you will find Master Butcher Steve along with his friendly staff providing excellent cuts of meat along with plenty of helpful information and advice. Steve will explain the best cuts of meat and give you advice on how to prepare it at the same time. We carry our own lamb and beef along with pork and chicken supplied by local farmers.
In our deli, you’ll find more than 30 different cheeses along with our freshly-made coleslaw, pasta salads, and dips. We also bake our award winning pies and pastries daily, along with sausage rolls, to be enjoyed hot or cold. We even bring in a variety of authentic meats, cheeses and olives from the continent. Everything you would expect in a metropolitan deli can be found here, with one major difference: everything we carry is fresh.
The menu in our café is based entirely on our fresh meats and local produce. We serve a variety of delicious meals including burgers, small plates, and larger more hearty dishes. Specials are offered daily along with breakfast and plenty of gluten-free options for you to choose from. After your delicious meal, why not treat yourself to one of our homemade cakes, scones, or hot dessert choices.
Far too much of the modern world is far too complicated. Your food choices do not have to be. Here at The Lambing Shed, we live by three simple rules: all of our products are fresh, we utilise only locally sourced meats and produce, and we keep everything simple.
Our customers love what they find at our on-site shop and butchery, along with delicious prepared foods at our deli and café. They also love the fact that we operate the working Mosley Hall Farm, which has been in our family for more than 65 years.
Michael Mitchell and son Robert run the farm consisting of more than 400 acres of land, 2500 sheep, and 250 beef cattle. The rest of the family helps by pitching in on the farm and running the day-to-day operations of the shop.
