Dog-Friendly Knutsford

It’s no secret that Knutsford is welcoming more dogs than ever, after all we have enough parkland and great walks on our doorstep to get tails a-wagging, but which places truly make our pooches welcome? Read our guide to dog-friendly Knutsford…

It used to be the case that only French restaurants allowed your dog to sit alongside you (although I’m not sure despite warming to them, any restaurants will give your dog a place setting just yet), but more and more businesses are not just allowing, but actively enjoy having your furry friend join you.

Perfect pitstops for pooches in WA16

As a dog lover I’ve never been keen on tying my two adorable/pesky, four legged friends up outside a shop, so like most owners I avoid taking them along the High Street altogether. If I get caught out I’ll sometimes find myself enquiring hopefully (whilst willing my pooches to look saintly) whether the establishment is dog-friendly?? Honestly, you get a really mixed bag – from “We LOVE them! Can I get him a biscuit? Water? Foot Rub?” to “Sorry…Health & Safety”.

The Knutsford Hub is helping to suggest the spots which love our mutts most with a ‘Dog Friendly’ tag on all the businesses in town that welcome them with open arms (as well as a few that may not let you leave). Here are just a small selection but visit the Hub and if your business is listed and you welcome dogs, just let us know

The Lambing Shed
A favourite of the Knutsford Hub, The Lambing Shed welcomes your furry friends in the conservatory/covered area. Watch out, they’ll be after your sausages…

Wine & Wallop
Being on the trajectory to and from Tatton Park makes Wine & Wallop a perfect pooch pitstop and they’ve always made dogs welcome.

Hal Whittaker

Selling toys since I was a wee girl (and before), Hal Whittaker don’t just love dogs but confess to liking them a bit more than some people.

We know what you mean.

Dog-Friendly Knutsford

Willow Boutiques
Janice at Willow is a dog lover and doesn’t mind a little company for her gorgeous spaniel, and while the dogs are occupied…

Seven Sisters Ice Cream Farm
Not only are dogs welcome but they love it down on the farm, perhaps it’s the chance of someone dropping a cone or two…

PR Jones Jewellers
Not your obvious dog-friendly retail establishment, but PR Jones welcomes dogs with one small caveat…they’d rather see them before, than after their muddy walk – Fur enough.

If your business welcomes dogs just let us know and we’ll update your listing on the Knutsford Hub. Don’t have a listing?
